India hosts world’s highest snow marathon in Himachal’s Lahaul

India on Sunday organised the Snow Marathon Lahaul, the highest in the world, in Lahaul & Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh. Conceptualised by Guarav Schimar and organised by Reach India with support from Lahaul Spiti district administration saw the participation of over 100 sportspersons.

Shashwat Rao of Karnataka won the Snow Marathon with a timing of 4:41:07, on Saturday. Meanwhile, in the women’s category, local girl Dolma Tenzin was the fastest and she completed her race in five hours and five minutes, thirty seconds.
